Biography
Born in Poland, Karolina Tomaszewska is a concert pianist laureate of numerous international competitions, including the 3rd Prize at the International Chopin Piano Competition in Mariánské Lázně, the 3rd Prize at the Chopin Roma International Competition, the 1st Prize at the Miłosz Magin International Competition in Paris, the 1st Prize and Grand Prix at the International Music Competition of Corato, and the 2nd Prize at the American Protégé International Competition in New York, and more.
She was awarded the Diplôme Supérieur de Concertiste with the highest distinction from the École Normale de Musique de Paris Alfred Cortot, and was selected as a Young Talent 2024/2025 of the Académie Jaroussky, where she worked under Cédric Tiberghien. As a soloist, she performed at La Seine Musicale, Salle Cortot, and the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York.

Born in Poland, Karolina Tomaszewska is a concert pianist and laureate of numerous international competitions. She was awarded the Diplôme Supérieur de Concertiste with the highest distinction from the École Normale de Musique de Paris Alfred Cortot, in the class of Professor Rena Shereshevskaya. She also studied at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw with Professor Edward Wolanin, and at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Cologne in the class of Professor Sheila Arnold. Karolina was selected as a Young Talent 2024/2025 of the Académie Jaroussky, where she worked under the artistic guidance of Cédric Tiberghien.
She is laureate of numerous international competitions, including the 3rd Prize at the International Chopin Piano Competition in Mariánské Lázně, the 3rd Prize at the Chopin Roma International Competition, the 1st Prize at the Miłosz Magin International Competition in Paris, the 1st Prize and Grand Prix at the International Music Competition of Corato, the 1st Prize at the Luigi Zanuccoli International Competition, the 1st Prize at the Mozart Competition in Frascati, and the 2nd Prize at the American Protégé International Competition in New York. She has also received special distinctions at the competitions of Brest and Jelenia Góra.
She has taken masterclasses with, among others, Kevin Kenner, Karl-Heinz Kämmerling, Philippe Giusiano, Claudio Martínez Mehner, Philippe Entremont, Alexei Lubimov, André Boain and Jacques Rouvier.
As a soloist, she has performed with the Orchestre de la Garde Républicaine, the Lublin Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Zamość Symphony Orchestra. Her concert appearances include La Seine Musicale and Salle Cortot in Paris, as well as the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York, where she made her American debut. She has given concerts in France, Poland, Greece, Russia, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria, Spain, Italy and the United States.
She holds a Master's Degree in Musicology and Piano Interpretation. Her thesis, “Musique et patriotisme : La Mazurka dans la littérature pianistique polonaise, de Maria Szymanowska (1789–1831) à Władysław Żeleński (1837–1921) — Évolution, signification et rôle dans la formation du sentiment national,” explores the deep relationship between music and national identity in Polish piano literature — a subject close to her heart, reflected in her commitment to performing Polish music and rediscovering its lesser-known composers on stage.
